The MULTNOMAH CLEMENTE COURSE
Multnomah Clemente is our free, for-credit course exploring intersections of cinema and ecology--combined with art, literature, and writing--in a dynamic, supportive, and fun learning community.
This completely free course for people living on low incomes includes transferable undergraduate credit from one of the country’s most respected liberal arts colleges, Bard College. Enrollment includes all readings and free access to our Best of the Fest series, including snacks.
All courses are taught by our festival director and award-winning educator, Rozzell Medina. Flexible scheduling and multiple resources exist to encourage student success—including childcare and travel reimbursements.
Our pilot year of short 1-credit courses happened in June, 2026 at City Lights Cinemas (Florence, OR), the Columbian Theater (Astoria, OR), and in Olympia, WA.
We will announce plans for our 2027 Multnomah Clemente Course as soon as possible—hopefully before December, 2026.
